Nazarene Fund Update
Last Friday, on August 20, 2021, the Mercury One Nazarene Fund raised over $20 million, and today that number is just shy of $30 million. Founder Glenn Beck has stated many times over the last few days that “That money is sacred.” He vowed to use every penny raised to help evacuate people out of harm’s way in Afghanistan. Christians and Americans, those with proper credentials, including those who worked with the United States, will not be turned away.
On Wednesday, August 25, 2021, listeners and viewers of The Glenn Beck Program found the host broadcasting live from an undisclosed location in the Middle East. He relayed that he wanted to be a witness to the truth of the situation on the ground, and he wanted to bring that truth to whoever would listen.
At his own expense, Mr. Beck left his show early on Tuesday to get on a plane to arrive shortly before air-time on Wednesday morning to do his show. He revealed that Kenneth Copeland Ministries supplied the aircraft Mr. Beck and his team used to travel overseas. He also informed his viewers that the United States was still not allowing the refugees to enter the country and have been extremely slow on providing much-needed forms to transport them to other countries.
As of this writing, around 1,700 people have been transported out by The Nazarene Fund teams in the last 24 hours. However, things were deteriorating quickly from Mr. Beck’s vantage point, and he voiced his concerns.
“It may not make it to Saturday,” Mr. Beck lamented about the evacuations and the looming deadline of Tuesday, August 31, 2021. “The state department is a complete failure because this is not what they do,” he stated.
With millions available, money is not the problem his team is facing, and Mr. Beck asked his listeners to pray, saying, “The best way to save our country is to save our souls.”
