Gospel Sing Spirits Not Dampened

Read Time:1 Minute

Elizabeth, WV – June 20, 2015

What a blessing is was to attend the Free Gospel Sing in Elizabeth, WV, on Saturday, June 20th. Due to rain–thanks to tropical depression “Bill”–event coordinator Mike Sams scrambled but, with relative ease, was able to move the event to the local high school.

Fellowship began as you walked in the doors and continued as the first note was sung. Each performer and speaker showed God-given talents onstage and offered up testimonies of how God has worked in there lives. The spirit was flowing with each song and many in the crowd raised their hands or clapped the whole afternoon.

After a rousing performance of spiritual classics to end the afternoon, the modest crowd bowed their heads and prayed, then gathered at the stage and sang a heartfelt version of “Amazing Grace.”

The event ran from 12 noon until 5 pm.
