A New Season: Thank You Al Tucker!

thank you
Read Time:2 Minute

Today, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Al Tucker for almost 8 years of outstanding contributions to Glory Magazine and our Upshur County community. Through your stories, testimonials, and thoughtful perspective, you helped inform, connect, and inspire readers across multiple platforms and other countries. Your talented photography—capturing scenes from across West Virginia and beyond—brought our pages (especially our covers) to life, and your dedicated volunteerism and phenomenal fundraising promotions strengthened the causes and communities we care about. We’re also grateful for your dedication to the Band of Brothers and the morning Bible Study, which have been a blessed addition to the magazine. Congratulations as well on a much-deserved “second retirement,” and thank you for your years of Air Force service—and for continuing to use those skills to help others. Above all, thank you for showing up as an all-around good and godly person and a steady, positive presence. Your consistency, creativity, spiritual insight, and professionalism have made a lasting impact, and we’re grateful for the time and talent you’ve shared with all of us.

thank you

Many of us will remember the first time one of your photos ran in the 2018 June-July edition featuring Tangier Island—it instantly made an impression. And we’ll especially cherish your pictorial in the 2024 October-November magazine (Click Here). Each photo made the pages feel closer to home. You have a gift for helping people see our state (and our work) with fresh eyes. Truly special.

thank you

Please join us in thanking Al for his years of dedication—through writing that connected us, photography that showcased West Virginia, volunteerism that led by example, and fundraising promotions that made a real difference. We wish you continued success and all the best in what comes next.

“The hope of my testimonies was to try to reveal God’s glory through the beauty of His creation, our earthly surroundings, and how He guided me on His path to carry out His will for me, all with the hope that it would help others in their journey, even find Jesus to start their own path with Him.”
