While We Wait

Read Time:1 Minute

Each issue over the last eleven years has been my favorite. Why? Well, because every two months the Lord provides the analogies, essays, stories, prayers, Bible studies, and testimonials to fill our pages. We take no credit for it because we know that our help comes from the Lord.

This issue is profound in its symbiotic threads woven together into a tapestry of Salvation through belief and working as unto the Lord, while rejoicing in whatever tasks we are asked to perform. God has truly finished His work and allows us, through the Holy Spirit, to have access to it, along with all that we need in this life.

Do we sometimes forget the magnitude of His accomplishments? Sadly, yes. Do we miss the mark? Yes. However, each morning, He offers us fresh mercy and grace to get up and try again. In doing so, we must realize that our Salvation is never based on our works, but rather on His. Our works are to be based on honor, reverence, and love for the One who made it possible for us to have eternal life: Jesus Christ.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33 (KJV)

As you read this October-November issue, our prayer is that each word, paragraph, and photo greets you right where you are and places a unction within that compels you to seek Him more, learn from His teachings, and desire to be closer to the Holy Spirit more than ever before. As we await His coming, be of good courage! Don’t be afraid. Be strong and brave (Joshua 1:9). And be of good cheer! Because He has overcome the world (John 16:33).

Blessings and honor,
